We prepare our own dinners because we have been romantically arrested by the sights, smells and flavors of the farmer’s markets and want to carry that passion back to our own kitchen. Learning to cook Provencal food enables us to bring our culinary discoveries back home to our family and friends. Guests are encouraged to dine out for lunch. Most of the villages you will visit have a variety of restaurants to suit any palate or budget.
Traveling to magical locations abroad can be a spiritual awakening, and when spirits awaken they like to wander. That’s why we offer activity suggestions over structure. Generous Helping does not presume to know what might fill your soul. Perhaps it’s a studied gaze at a painting by Vincent Van Gogh, a long bicycle ride through breathtaking countryside, people watching from a village cafe, photographing ancient ruins, wine tasting, landscape painting…What brings you alive? There is too little time to do everything, so do what you want, with whom you want and bring that energy back to the evening supper table for splendid conversation and enlightenment.
